Seasonal offerings from the farm
DaSilva Farms changes with the season, and so do the products we offer.
Seasonal vegetable sales typically begin in May
Locally sourced corn is usually available starting in June
We also offer compost in the spring, available in 50-pound bags or by the truckload
Farm processing and poultry offerings typically run from May through November, with Chicken CSA shares available for presale online, at markets, and at the farm stand.
Because farm life is seasonal by nature, availability may change throughout the year, but freshness, quality, and local connection remain at the center of everything we do.
Chicken and eggs are at the heart of the farm
At DaSilva Farms, poultry is at the center of what we do.
We raise both laying hens and meat birds, with a focus on freshness, quality, and seasonal availability. Our laying flock includes brown, white, and green egg layers, giving customers a beautiful mix of fresh farm eggs. Our meat birds are Cornish Rock, a breed known for excellent meat production.
Our chickens have access to pasture and open space on the farm, and during the season, baby chicks arrive monthly to support our Chicken CSA program.
That CSA allows local customers to reserve their share of our farm-raised chicken in advance, giving families access to fresh, local poultry at its peak.
More than chicken and eggs
Our farm stand also offers a rotating selection of seasonal farm goods and homemade items.
Depending on the season, you may find:
Pickles
Jams
Jellies
Local honey
Seasonal specials
Homemade chicken pot pies during holiday markets
Our canned items are made by Dan in a commercial kitchen and change throughout the year based on what’s in season and available.
We keep the farm stand stocked with simple, local goods that reflect the same care and quality behind everything we do on the farm.
Grown from seeds with care
Each spring, our greenhouse begins filling up early in the season, with most plants started from seed beginning in February.
We focus on heirloom varieties and organic practices throughout the growing process, offering vegetable plants that are healthy, hardy, and ready for local gardens.
In the spring, customers can find a variety of seedlings and plant starts at our farm stand and at local farmers markets.
Small-batch pork, offered seasonally
Pig production recently returned to the farm on a smaller scale, beginning with Yorkshire pigs.
While poultry and eggs remain our primary focus, we plan to continue offering pork in limited quantities as part of the farm’s seasonal production.
Because availability is limited, the best way to stay informed is by checking in with us during the season or following along for updates.
